Rob McEwen, Executive Chairman, Director, President and Chief
Executive Officer


Mr. McEwen is a recipient of the Order of Canada, Canada's highest civilian honor. A leading Canadian mining industry entrepreneur, with active exploration underway in Mexico and Nevada, Mr. McEwen was the founder, former chairman and CEO of Goldcorp Inc. He built Goldcorp from an investment company with a $50 million market capitalization to one of the largest gold-mining companies in the world with an $8 billion market capitalization by the time he retired from the company. Mr. McEwen is the chairman, president and CEO of U.S. Gold.

 
James K. Duff, Chief Operating Officer
As chief operating officer for Minera Andes, Mr. Duff has daily responsibility for Minera Andes' hardrock mining projects. A professional geologist, he has more than 30 years of diverse international experience in the U.S., Canada, South America, Australia and New Zealand. He most recently served at Coeur d' Alene Mines Corporation for 18 years in successively responsible positions including vice president of business development and later, president of South American operations. In the latter position he was responsible for underground gold and silver mining operations in Chile and Argentina and the development and start-up of the 5,000 tonnes-per-day San Bartolome mine in Bolivia. Fluent in Spanish, Mr. Duff holds a bachelor's degree in geology from the University of Nevada, and a master's degree from the University of Idaho. He has completed graduated studies in international management at the Whitworth University of Global Commerce and Management in Spokane, and the Program for Management Development at the Harvard School of Business.

 
Henry John, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. John, a chartered accountant in British Columbia, Canada, since 1974, and a certified public accountant in Washington, USA, since 1998, has broad-based accounting and auditing experience with public corporations, including junior exploration/mining companies. In Washington he has been associated with the firm of LeMaster & Daniels where his duties included audits and regulatory oversight compliance, including the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

 
Nils F. Engelstad, Vice President, Corporate Affairs
Nils became an officer of Minera Andes in 2009. Immediately prior to his appointment Nils was in-house counsel to Minera Andes, prior to which he was in private practise with a national Canadian law firm. Prior to his career in law, Nils held a variety of positions in business development and marketing. Nils holds degrees from the University of Toronto and the University of Windsor and is a member in good standing with the Law Society of Upper Canada.

 
Allen V. Ambrose, Director

Mr. Ambrose has nearly three decades of experience in the mining industry, including work with large companies as well as junior exploration companies. He has been a director of Minera Andes since November 1995.

Mr. Ambrose has extensive experience in all phases of exploration, project evaluation and project management, and has worked as a geologic consultant in the U.S., Venezuela and Argentina. As a consultant, he was a co-discoverer of a Venezuelan auriferous massive sulfide deposit acquired by Gold Reserve Corporation, and known generally as the Brisas deposit. He formerly was employed as exploration manager for N.A. Degerstrom Inc., a U.S. contract mining company, and has worked as a geologist for Cyprus Minerals, Kidd Creek Mines, Molycorp, Boise Cascade and Dennison Mines. He holds a B.Sc.degree in Geology from Eastern Washington University.

Mr. Ambrose serves as a director for several junior exploration companies and a capital company, and provides management and geologic consulting services to several companies.

 
Victor Lazarovici, Director
Mr Lazarovici was managing director and senior base metals analyst for BMO Capital Markets in New York for ten years. He has more than 20 years experience as a highly ranked global metals and mining analyst, including five years at Smith Barney in New York, and prior broad experience in the corporate and investment management sectors. While at BMO and Smith Barney, Mr. Lazarovici consistently achieved top analyst rankings among U.S and Canadian institutional investors.

 
Dr. Don Quick, Director
Dr. Quick, a private investor, served as a Goldcorp director from 2000 to 2006, and previously was a director for CSA Management, which he helped successfully to merge with Goldcorp in 2000. As a director of Goldcorp, he was involved with three successful mining industry mergers including Goldcorp's $2.6 billion merger with Wheaton River Gold; the combined Goldcorp/Barrick Gold Corp. acquisition of placer Dome Inc.; and the $8.6 billion merger of Glamis Gold Inc. into Goldcorp. The latter two transactions were the largest gold mining deals in Canadian history.

 
Allan J. Marter, Director
Mr. Marter is a mining finance professional with more than 25 years experience. He is a chartered accountant and has wide business planning and financial experience with exploration companies and small to emerging mid-tier producing companies. His experience includes having served as a senior executive with Golden Star Resources Ltd., where he arranged more than $200 million in financings. Mr. Marter has directed and assisted equity financings, provided advisory services, and assisted with debt and acquisition financing packages.

 
Richard W. Brissenden, Director
Mr. Brissenden is a chartered accountant with more than 25 years experience in the mining and exploration sector. He serves as a director for several mining companies, including Canuc Resources Corporation, Excellon Resources Inc., Corona Gold Corporation, Lexam Explorations and Valdez Gold. He formerly served as a board member for other mining companies, including,
among others, Metco Resources. Metco was purchased by Breakwater Resources Ltd. In 2008. Mr. Brissenden served as a board member of Hudbay Minerals Inc. from June 2003 to 2006.

 
Michael l. Stein, Director
Mr. Stein has been chairman and chief executive officer of the real estate investment and development company, MPI Group Inc., since 1994. He has also held the position of chairman and chief executive officer of the real estate investment and development company, MICC Properties Inc. since 1987. He is currently the chairman of the Canadian Apartment Properties Real Estate Investment Trust (CAP REIT). A former member of the board of Goldcorp Inc., Mr. Stein is a graduate engineer and holds an MBA in Finance and International business from Columbia university in New York.
